Eleanor Paige

Eleanor Paige Leicht was born Sunday December 26, 2010 at 7:23 in the evening. She weighed in at 7 pounds 13 ounces and was 19.75 inches long. We love her so much and are simply overjoyed with her arrival!
This is Matt, Ellie, and I along with my midwife Theodora just minutes after Ellie was born! Mommy and Ellie's first picture together.

Sweet baby!

Ava and Ben are the best big sister and brother. They were both so sweet when we brought Ellie home from the hospital.

Christmas

BoldThis was a big Christmas for us because we were expecting a little baby to come just in time for the big day since baby was due on the 23rd. Apparently baby did not get the message because we ended up celebrating the big day while awaiting his/her arrival. I have to say it could not have gone any better though. We had the meal catered because we thought we would be too busy with our bundle of joy to cook so this was one of the most relaxing holidays I can remember. We enjoyed lots of time with our families and the kids. We didn't know it at the time, but baby was not far away...not far away at all!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

May-Annual Crawfsh Boil

Our annual crawfish boil was once a gain a big success. We enoyed Matt's super yummy crawfish and the company of lots of new friends, old friends, and family. I think this year was the first time the kids outnumbered the adults!

Daddy To the Rescue!

So of course I get sick the day of Ben's first Christmas party at school! What's a girl to do? Matt totally stepped up and got the special snack ready and took Ben to his party. I was so sad to miss out on the big occasion, but it looks like my two guys had a great time. I know Ben enjoyed the cupcakes with the red frosting!

Ben's 2nd Birthday

Ben had an awesome Cookie Monster themed bithday party this year at our house. GiGi made him a very special cake that everyone loved and we had a good crowd over to enjoy the afternoon.

Ben was so happy to see all of his guests! All the kids loved to play on our new swingset :) Instead of hitting the Cookie Monster pinata, Ben just wanted him to share the cookie he was holding! So sweet :) A fun time was had by all- bring on year number 3!!

October-Trip to the Rodeo

Matt had a big business trip in the middle of October so Ben and I snuck off to Waco for a trip to the Fair and Rodeo with Gigi, Aunt Bran, & Jordan. We had a great time and Ben looked absolutely adorable in his new boots, jeans, & cowboy hat. He loved the pony rides most of all, but he also checked out all the animals and of course he had to ride the choo-choo train at the midway. He also rode in the stick horse rodeo with his GiGi- we loved it!

September-Weekend Sailing

September-Ben's First Day of School

In September, Ben started at St. Peter's ECDC one day a week. This is a preschool thru our church for kiddos Ben's age all the way thru prep for Kindergarten. We are hoping he will go there at least one or two days a week until he starts school. He was such a big boy and adjusted in no time. I think it was a bigger adjustment for Mommy- we have been joined at the hip since he was born!

Ava's 8th Birthday

I think Ava had 4 birthday celebrations this year! Here are pictures from two of them..On the weekend before her birthday we had a girls day at the movies (we saw Ramona & Beazus!) with our family and a couple of her little friends from school. Then we had lunch at her favorite place- James Coney Island- with a special cake that GiGi made. On her actual birthday we took her out for a special dinner at Shogun the hibachi grill and all had a really great time. I can't believe she is already 8-years-old!! Time flies!

August- South Padre

In July we had a fantastic vacation with our good friends the Otteas in South Padre. We all drove down and rented a condo that was right on the beach. Each day we set up camp for some fun in the sun. Our niece Jordan came along and of course the Ottea girls were there to play too. We were there for a whole week and had an absolute blast!! I hope we can go back again next year. It was so fun :)
